History of English Cocker Spaniel

The first report of this race is from 1300. However, 500 years later, the English Spaniel was divided into seven types: Clumber, Sussex, Welsh Springer, Field English Springer, Irish Water Spaniel, Cocker. All of these races were brought to England centuries before Spain. The name Cocker is derived from the bird name Wood Cock. A bird that Cockers originally bred to hunt. They are also skilled hunters for other birds. These days, this breed is mostly used as a pet. Cockers are used as watchdogs, hunter-gatherers, and predators.
