Miniature Pincher’s Race History

Contrary to popular belief, the Miniature Pincer is not ancestor of the Doberman race, and in fact the Miniature Pitcher is older than the Doberman. The native of this race is German and his ancestors are the Trier and German Pinscher. This breed was used to control the population and hunting of mice, especially in stables. The Italian Greyhound may also be involved in the creation of this high-speed dog. The word Pinscher in German means terrier
